A ceramic veneer is a thin layer, or 'veneer' of porcelain that is bonded to the front of the tooth. Posterior teeth, like molars and premolars, usually require the placement of a dental crown to make a cosmetic change.
Most veneers require minor preparation before placement. We typically need to remove a small portion of the enamel from the front of the tooth to accommodate the thickness of a veneer. For this reason, most veneers are also considered irreversible.
Teeth whitening is one of our most popular cosmetic procedures. It is often a selling point for many store-bought products, from toothpaste to whitening strips to mouth rinses. Unfortunately, none of these products are as effective as a professional whitening treatment.
During our professional whitening treatment, we use a high-concentration bleaching solution, usually hydrogen peroxide, to produce the best possible results. We may also utilize ultraviolet light to expedite the process and increase the effects of the bleach. By the end of your appointment, your teeth could be up to eight shades whiter!
